With the growing number of Muslim families in Fort Wayne, UEF seized the opportunity to expand the masjid’s footprint to better serve the community.

The Masjid DaruSsalam project features a 28,000-square-foot facility that includes essential amenities such as a dedicated prayer hall for men and women, sections for parents with children, and a gymnasium.

This state-of-the-art facility is designed to accommodate 1,000 worshippers at a time.

The existing UEF masjid will remain adjacent and seamlessly connected to the newly built Masjid Darussalam. Preserving the original structure serves as a reminder for future generations of how UEF took root in the Fort Wayne community. Additionally, it will continue to function as the primary building for the Islamic Sunday School.
